We’ve refreshed the Martti app interface to make accessing language support easier than ever – and it makes a great, impactful difference for our users.

We worked closely with healthcare professionals to ensure every element of this refresh empowers our users with even better speed, efficiency, and usability.  

In essence, this UI refresh is designed by healthcare providers, for healthcare providers, with a bit of extra help from the Martti team.  

So, here are the top features of the refreshed Martti app that will help streamline language access for you and your patients, and give you back precious time to focus on care.  

Customizable Language Tiles

With new customizable language tiles, we’ve made it so your most common languages can be put front and center.  

You can adjust the Martti interface by organizing your most-used languages into the top row of the language tile grid, identified by their blue color. This ensures that the languages you need are always at your fingertips, right from the home page.  

This feature is configured by account administrators to ensure consistency and continuity for your users.  

By setting up quick access to frequently used languages, we’re speeding up your workflow.

Native Language Display

We know that figuring out what language a patient needs interpretation for can sometimes be a difficult task. That’s why we built the native language display feature for the Martti language selection screen.  

Now, you can switch seamlessly between languages listed in their native spelling and English, helping you adapt to your patients’ needs and find the right language for interpretation.  

The native language display feature makes interactions both more intuitive and efficient. This capability not only empowers healthcare providers and administrators by making the interface easier to navigate, but it also enhances the patient experience. Patients can read their selection in their native language, fostering clearer communication, reducing anxiety, and increasing confidence during critical interactions.  

Interactive Map for Language Selection

The updated interactive world map allows users to select languages based on their region. Simply select the continent of your choice on the map and choose from the list of languages in that region.  

For example, patients can point to their country of origin, enabling providers to quickly identify the language they need.  

The visual aspect of this tool ensures faster access to interpreters and more precise communication. No need to guess or scroll through menus – simply point, click, and go.  

Quick Access for Recently Used Languages

Beyond the customizable language tiles, the Martti home page also includes your most recently accessed languages. These are identified by their orange coloring.  

This enhancement reduces repetitive searching, so you can quickly connect with interpreters from your recently used languages.

Help & Tips Built Right Into the App

We’ve updated Martti’s tips and troubleshooting functionality with improved built-in help guides and system checks for connection, audio, camera, and microphone settings.

Support is always at your fingertips. With just a few clicks, you can access step-by-step visual walkthroughs to guide you through setup and troubleshooting, run diagnostic checks that identify and resolve technical problems, and discover tips for optimizing your interpreter calls.  

For more complex issues, you can submit an Issue Reporting form, and our Quality Assurance Team will address your request promptly.

Refreshed Visual Design

We’ve made some great visual updates to the Martti app, refreshing the color scheme and design elements for a modern feel and user-friendly experience. The updated visual design is clean and vibrant, with larger buttons, brighter colors, and a simplified layout that’s built to help you work faster and more efficiently.

One of the first things you’ll notice is the bigger, brighter language tiles. They’re easier to spot at a glance, so you spend less time searching and more time delivering care.  

The map includes clickable continent names and a solid background for improved clarity and navigation. Larger touchpoints, optimized spacing, and stronger color contrasts ensure that you can navigate the platform quickly and with ease.  

We also ensured that the features that matter most to you fit neatly within your screen, eliminating the need for scrolling and searching for features. Whether on a desktop, tablet, or mobile device, the app adapts to your screen for a consistent and reliable experience.
